Son of a...I don't know where the F*** you got the "proof" for the SD's, but I have scaled the modles myself, and how the f'n h*** can 2 ships of realativly equal size have such a Gargantuan difference?!?!?
oh, and that other ship you compared the enterprise D, A soveraign class to, is FYI A FRIKKEN CARGO SHIP!!!!!!!!!
Actually, I think it is great that the usually highly aclaimed federation starships end up comparing to a cargo ship. As for myself, I still love Star Trek AND Star Wars. Even before reading this, I had long believed that the Federation wouldn't really fair well against the Empire. They are both fiction, so it doesn't really impact my enjoyment of either franchise.
If I had any complaint about most of the websites I have seen of Star Wars vs Star Trek is that it seems everyone ignores that a Star Destroyer, Calamari Cruiser, and so forth are more than just battleships. They are often carriers with a compliment of fighters, bombers, etc.. Even the Enterprise carries some shuttles most of the time, and I think I had a friend get into once with me telling me that they even have some fighters on board Federation starship too.... If the Enterprise compares to a Star Wars cargo ship, then how do the fighters match up and how might they threaten an opposing starship?
